Florida's Full Spectrum Doula Services

Birth Doula

Compassionate support throughout labor and birth, including emotional, physical, and evidence-based advocacy.

Birth Doula supporting a Florida family

A birth doula walks beside you from late pregnancy through the hours after your baby arrives. She is not a medical provider — she is your continuous, non-clinical support person, the one constant in a room where nurses change shifts and plans shift with them.

What this doula does

  • Prenatal visits to build a birth preferences plan and rehearse comfort measures
  • Continuous labor support at home, in a hospital, or at a Florida birth center
  • Hands-on comfort: counter-pressure, position changes, breathwork, hydrotherapy
  • Evidence-based information so you can ask informed questions of your care team
  • Support for your partner so they can stay present instead of managing logistics
  • An immediate postpartum hour or two: first latch, skin-to-skin, and rest

When families reach out

  • Most families hire between 20 and 34 weeks, but late calls are often welcome
  • Earlier if you are planning an unmedicated birth, VBAC, or a home birth
  • Anytime you want a steady presence who knows your local hospital culture

Is this a good fit?

You want continuous, judgment-free support in labor and someone who can help you understand your options in real time.
